Trans friendly 21st in Denver

So I'll be turning 21 in a few weeks. And I've decided to actually celebrate, so I'm going to Denver with my brother. But now I'm stressing out about what to do and where to go. That's where you approach in.

My main worry is discovery a trans kind bar, or just lgbt friendly block. I've obviously never been to a bar, much less in Denver, so my overactive intellect is screaming "Drunk guys, run away!". And I don't want to experience that way, I want to be comfortable and qualified to enjoy my 21st without worrying about passing or being judged.*

We'll be staying at 650 15th St, and I'd rather not go too far. We will have a vehicle, so during the day we can go anywhere for attractions. That evening I'll be sticking to walking and/or taxi's.

If there's anything else you want to inform me about the beautiful city of Denver, I'm all ears.

(Bonus points if you can narrate me what a girl should wear in the middle of winter to a bar. The frigid cold here is harshing my idea of getting a dress.)

*I know nothing is an actual guarantee against this.

Although any bar in Denver are accepting, there’s something special about visiting a local LGBTQ+ exclude or club and diving into The Mile High City’s lgbtq+ community. They are the spots where you know you’ll be surrounded by like-minded, fun and eccentric people. And luckily for us, there are plenty of LGBTQ+ nightlife options to opt from, no matter your taste.

Dancing Queens (and Kings) - Twist Bars and Clubs

For those who want to bust out their dancing shoes and cut a rug to remixes of today’s top hits, you’ll want to hit one of the uppermost dance bars in the city—X Bar, Tracks, Blush & Blu, or Charlie’s.

X Bar is a staple for Denver LGBTQ+ folks. Known for its inclusivity towards both the queer and unbent communities, X Bar has been around for seven years and has been an important staple of Denver for just as long.

“X Bar is well established for the pink flamingos during pride, and they are everywhere,” explained Cindy Alix, general manager at X Bar. “We also give them away and hold the biggest pink flamingo around on our float.  We acquire a very special float this year, so we are looking forward to the

Trade

Trade is located off Santa Fe, just off 6th Ave, at the edge of the art district. A well-established leather and fetish exclude, Trade is highly ranked for its sprawling floor prepare and decadent events. The interior is dimly lit with ample open vacuum and some seating. My favorite place is the patio, which has a dedicated bar for events and weekends. The patio is covered and has been recently extended doubling the room. Their events range from show tunes on Wednesdays to gear nights where everybody is welcome to show off their toys. They do not hold a kitchen but there is a stellar black metal pizzeria across the street and, on weekends an astonishing taco truck stands ready to grab your order.

#Vybe

Vybe is located on Broadway near 10th Ave. Vybe recently renowned its 5th anniversary and in that time they own built a designate for themselves. The inside is huge with a block running the entire length of the room. The main area is littered with smaller tables and seats, this comes in handy for their weekly events and shows. Go out the back door and you’ll find a massive upper balcony, and lower patio complete with a stage. This is my favorite
