Jack Draper clinched the most significant victory of his career as he won the Indian Wells title on Sunday. The British tennis ace defeated Holger Rune 6-2, 6-2 in the final to win an ATP Masters event for the first time.

The 23-year-old became British No.1 last year and now sits seventh in the world rankings after defeating the likes of Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz on his way to the concluding in California. Draper's victory at Indian Wells saw him pocket the colossal £927,000 ($1.2million) grand prize, following on from finishing runner-up at the Qatar Open last month. According to ATP, Draper has earned £5.14m ($6.65m) in prize money since turning pro in 2018. His Indian Wells winnings add to his previous ATP title victories at the Stuttgart and Vienna Opens last year. Who is Jack Draper?

Jack Draper was born on 22 December 2001, in Sutton, Surrey.

He is a star both on and off the court, having climbed to a career-high No. 5 in the world in the ATP singles rankings and winning Indian Wells — often referred to as tennis' fifth Grand Slam — beating Carlos Alcaraz en route to the title.

Although he is yet to win a Grand Slam, tennis is something that runs in his family.

Jack's brother Ben is a former pro, while and his mum Nicky is a junior champion turned coach.
