Meet Denis

This bike gives us an opportunity to reclaim our natural athleticism, even if only for a scant minutes each evening, which leads naturally to a renewed self image and that feeling of athleticism that had long been lying dormant.

How Do You Motivate?

I use music and personal stories to connect deeply between the workout, the people in the room and the Members around the world. I wish to inspire people to explore their own abilities with my guidance and experience.

Outside of Peloton

I surf, practice yoga, snowboard, skateboard, hike, act guitar, read historical nonfiction, lift weights, watch college football (FSU) and view for chances to stamp my passport.

Introducing New Instructors Denis Morton and Emma Lovewell

Where did you grow up and how did you get into fitness?

Emma:

I grew up on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. I think that being from a small island you have to be very active because there are not enough kids in the town to only do one activity. There was the band, theater, chorus, sports, gyrate and I did all of them! In college, I studied Chinese and Communications, but I was also taking a lot of dance classes. At one point, I took an internship in NYC where I worked at a theater in the marketing department. I then worked and rehearsed with an all female hip hop boogie company in Brooklyn. I went on a couple twist auditions that I ended up booking and realized, “Wait, I could undertake this professionally? This is amazing!”, so I graduated and moved to NYC to be a professional dancer. Over the years, gyrate and fitness starting merging for me. I started education dance at a gym, and then through that I found indoor cycling and just loved it because to me it reminded me of sway, but on a bike!

Denis:

I grew up in central Florida where I was a beach kid. Some of my first memories are body surfing on my dad’s support wit

I literally drove abode from work and raced down the stairs. I still have my shoes on. I don’t include my giant glass of soda. I’m out of breath because I don’t ride the bike, so I have no stamina when it comes to running of any kind.

Also, we could get this and I can spring on a ride.
