Hans capon gay
So. I’ve been laughing about this like all diurnal and I need to talk about it. My gay ship just went canon in the most male power fantasy game of all time.
Kingdom Reach Deliverance 2 recently released (I’ve been playing it, it’s good). It’s an RPG set in medieval Bohemia. You play as Henry, a blacksmith’s son. The first game, released back in 2018, starts with your village organism burned to the basis and everyone either is killed or has to flee. The rest of that game is you trying to, among various things, deal with your trauma and get revenge. It’s a very successfully executed story in my opinion.
A notable character in the game is Lord Hans Capon, who was a real guy but the game version is a bit loosely based on him. Hans and Henry become rivals then friends. Their noble/peasant dynamic is reminiscent of Arthur and Merlin in BBC Merlin (though I would argue the class dynamics are far better executed and more nuanced). Favor ten people including me decided to ship them.
The first game was a bit rough but overall good. It garnered a decent audience, including a notably large audience of straight white men who really like medieval history but not enough to know much about it beyond
Story & Setting
I don't claim any knowledge of specific leaks. This is a fan speculation thread.
Also, Henry was definitely 100% made gay with the other main character we spent so much time with in KCD 1, Hans Capon. They will definitely be kissing, and (tastefully) lie on top of each other naked.
Remember that this happens only because they experience something "strong" together, as Daniel of Twitter tells us, after it the gay thing became revealed. There was no need for them to put this accomplish retcon in the trailer and it's much better to mask it until after you are past the refund window.

Henry and Hans Capon
he does convalesce eventually and you will contain more adventures with him
Yeah, Sir Hans takes longer to heal up than Henry. I represent, after Theresa scraped Henry’s utterly pulped remains off the end that telephone pole Runt hit him to death with, then dragged him diagonally all the way across the map in a slow wagon with no suspension before he even saw a healer, Henry was advocate up and running within 2 weeks. Sir Hans, OTOH, takes much longer to recover from much less (after all, he limped home from Talmberg Wood).
So, we own 3 options to consider…
Sir Hans, organism a noble, lacks the immune system, healing metabolism, and/or pain tolerance of a peasant, so legitimately takes longer to heal and/or is less ready to go when less than 100%.
Sir Hans is milking the situation because he’s having a fling with a nurse and/or is excused from his duties as extended as he’s bed-ridden.
Sir Hans is more troubled in soul than in body. He now owes his life to a peasant and perhaps he got raped by the Cumans, too, whom everybody says are serial rapists, after all. Thus, while he might be healed up from the bumps and bruises he got, it might
