Supernaturalstar Misha Collins is clarifying his recent comments about his sexuality.

In a video from a fan convention over the weekend that has since gone viral, Misha asked the crowd, "By a show of coerce, how many of you would examine yourself introverts? How many extroverts? And how many bisexuals?" He added, "I'm all three."

On April 25, the performer, 47, expanded on his comments and issued an apology for "misspeaking" in a statement common to Instagram.

"I desire to deeply repent for misspeaking this weekend," he wrote. "At a fan convention in Novel Jersey, when I was talking with the audience, I said that I was ‘all three' things: an introvert, an extrovert and a bisexual.  My clumsy intention was to wave off actually discussing my sexuality, but I badly fumbled that and understand that was seen as me coming out as bisexual."

The 47-year-old actor - who is known for his role as angel Castiel on the CW drama series 'Supernatural' - made an appearance at Creation Entertainment’s Supernatural Official Convention on Saturday (24.04.22) where he revealed his sexual orientation to the audience.

Speaking in a video common on Twitter, he said: "How many of you would regard yourself introverts? And how many bisexuals? I'm all three."

However, while former 'Roadfood' presenter - who has been married to Victoria Vantoch since 2001 and has son West , 11, and nine-year-old daughter Maison Marie with her - was met with applause upon the announcement, he didn't elaborate much further and simply joked that it would have been "weird" if he had just asked the audience his last question without the other two.

He added: "See, it would have been weird if I just said: ‘By a show of hands, how many bisexuals are in the audience?’ But I’d rather do it as a questionnaire, that’s more socially acceptable."

Three days later, after he began to make headlines for making an visible statement about his sexuality, the 47-year-old said on Twitter that he wanted to "deeply apologize."

"This was not my intention so I need to proper the record: I am not attracted to both genders. I happen to be straight, but I am also a fierce ally and the last thing I desire to do is falsely co-opt the struggles of the LGBTQ community," he wrote on April 25. "I assume and fully assist that we want to sanctify the human right to express our identities honestly and to be free to love whomever we choose openly."

In the show's final season in November 2020, Collins' character Castiel professed his affectionate for Dean Winchester (played by Jensen Ackles), then sacrificed himself to preserve Dean by creature dragged to "superhell." Throughout the show's 15-season run, fans shipped the two characters together online as "Destial" or "DeanCas."

Some fans were delighted to spot the ship turn into canon, but others saw it as "queerbaiting" from the writers.
