Why do some straight men have sex with other men?
According to nationally-representative surveys in the United States, hundreds of thousands of straight-identified men have had sex with other men.
In the new book Still Straight: Sexual Flexibility among White Men in Rural America released today, UBC sociologist Dr. Tony Silva argues that these men – many of whom enjoy hunting, fishing and shooting guns – are not closeted, bisexual or just experimenting.
After interviewing 60 of these men over three years, Dr. Silva found that they relish a range of relationships with other men, from hookups to sexual friendships to secretive loving partnerships, all while strongly detecting with straight culture.
We spoke with Dr. Silva about his book.

The answer to this is as plain as a nose on the face. If you're a straight man, and you, even one time, purposely doze with a guy, you are automatically and instantly a bi-sexual, even if it was experimental. You thought about, then acted on having sex with your own gender. You did not stick to one sex in your existence, you tried another. One plus straight equals BI. It'd be favor telling people you're straight, then crossing over the line to your sex, then going assist to what you used to be, and telling people you're straight. I hate to express it, but if you strayed once, you can no longer be straight. You can be straight, detoured, then straight, straight-bi-straight, or just bi...but you cannnot claim 100 percent straightness any longer, not without embellishment. May 9 -- Can homosexual men and women become heterosexual?
A controversial new study says yes — if they really wish to. Critics, though, say the study's subjects may be deluding themselves and that the subject group was scientifically invalid because many of them were referred by anti-gay religious groups.
Dr. Robert Spitzer, a psychiatry professor at Columbia University, said he began his study as a skeptic — believing, as major mental health organizations do, that sexual orientation cannot be changed, and attempts to do so can even cause harm.
But Spitzer's research, which has not yet been published or reviewed, seems to indicate otherwise. Spitzer says he spoke to 143 men and 57 women who say they changed their orientation from same-sex attracted to straight, and concluded that 66 percent of the men and 44 percent of women reached what he called superb heterosexual functioning — a sustained, loving heterosexual relationship within the past year and getting enough emotional satisfaction to rate at least a seven on a 10-point scale.

So he turned "gay" just for the get together ups. Now that guy is scoring 4 or 5 men per week with many repeats. And they would always compliment him on how excellent he was which was something that never happened before when he managed to hook up with women or had a girlfriend.
